at home
i have been subject to 24/7 baseball over here as it was the all stars game and also the "Home Run " classic ( where someone tosses the ball gently and they smack it into the crowd who all in turn go mental........totally pointless

Right here, right now
American Football all the way. Although I wouldn't mind watching a bit of baseball now and then now I have started having a go at it on the Wii!

Well argued sir.

The fact is that they are all brilliant to those who like them.
My favourite is obviously baseball, and particularly the Cardinals, currently hard on the heals of the Cubbies for the National League Central.
I haven't got time to tell you how fantastic a night at the ballpark can be.

But try it before deciding its shit

Watched the Cubs early season - brilliant entertainment includes people watching in the crowd as much as the action on the diamond. Totally addictive:thumbsup:

i guess its a similar situation to CRICKET where without going to a game you can't really appreciate its BEAUTY

yeah - but there are very few cricket grounds that sell pizza, bring beers to your seat and at which you can buy a king size bag of PEANUTS

and at which they race men in giant CHILLI costumes - baseball is the KING

Decided to go and see the Yankees play the Toronto Blue Jays as they are tearing the old Yankee stadium down at the end of this season and moving across the road to a new stadium - Shea stadium (the Mets) is also moving. I thought it was like watching paint dry - man throws ball, man hits ball, man runs round diamond. But then I think cricket is utter bollocks. Best bit was when one of the fat heffers in the crowd tried to catch a stray ball - she fell arse over tit and flattened the punters in the rows below. Only replayed it about 20 times on the big screen. There are just too many breaks, messages from sponsors etc - but the Yanks are so gullible that they really think it is the best sport in the world - FFS. One interesting thing - a lot of fans are pissed off now they've found out that the new Yankee stadium has far more corporate seating and less seating for the fans .............shades of Wembley.

Roll on October when the NHL starts and the New York Rangers will be playing at Madison Square.
