Mmm...playing at Lords this year (albeit in a micky mouse match) and hitting a six into the Grandstand was sweet. Not a sole in the stand sadly! However I'm with Locky (your post brought a tear to my eye I'm not ashamed to say), holding my baby girl when she was born last year was the best feeling ever.

Artois - I did the London Marathon this year and hated every fecking minute (and there were loads of them!) so that when I crossed the line I felt nothing but pain tinged with frustration that I had taken so bloody long. Never again.

well when your an extreme sports junkie like myself then no I dont need to get out more! Surfers can agree with me the amazing adrenaline rush you get when you have 30secs on a crips clean wave, or a skater pulling a hard trick and landing it for the first time or a snowboarder jumping off a cliff and flying through the air as if time stood still.

Dont knock something you know nothing about.

I'm with you on this one Crabtree, some of my best days have been snowboarding off piste in fresh powder. I'm booked up to go to Meribel in Jan and can't wait

I did clarify the no children issue but agree with it. I cant wait for it to happen.

You will notice that the ladies haven't put childbirth down as a memorable experience.

What is wonderful though, is feeling your baby moving for the first time when you are about 18 weeks gone.

I will also say that getting your child to ride a bike is a very special moment too. You talk them through it, you build their confidence, you hold on to them - tight at first then a bit looser, a bit looser still......
....then the moment you ever-so-gently let go, still running along side of course, & they're pedalling & pulling away. Then you slow your running down a bit so you're a foot behind them, then two feet, then five....and you stop. But they don't know you've stopped & they're still wibbly-wobbling up the road. That moment when you've stopped & before they realise just how far behind you're standing, THAT'S the best moment. You don't know whether to jump for joy, cry or bang on everyone's door shouting "look what she can do!"
... and then you suddenly think ...

"Perhaps I should have taught them how to come to a safe stop!"

:)
