Problem is that, during the first cut he buggered up his lawnmower, so both really. To "trim" it or for a first cut of the season?
My choice is a Honda or a Hayter 4 stroke 18" self-propelled walk behind.
How much grass?
How many square metres in total? If you could find out and post back on here, that would be very useful and help steer us to the best options.
Also, what standard is/are the lawns? Bowling greenish, just ornamental or roughish? Do they want "stripes"?

It's a medium sized garden... No measurements to be exact though

A plastic framed Viking/Stihl petrol mower for me. They do quite a few sizes. Small lawn, a battery powered one
Waiting for a put down on this suggestion from LamieRobertson though![]()

Definitely not the bloke that looks after the Amex pitch
Another vote for Honda Self-Propelled.
Ours is still going strong 13 years from new. Many times it's been left out in the rain by error, but no issues at all.
Minor, cheap as chips, self-repairs or to a dealers service bit and bobs, every year or so.
All the contract gardener round here use them too.
I thought you would have a sit on for the grounds at Weststander towers.![]()
Just as an aside I have a mate who works as part of the groundsman team at the renowned Devonshire Park tennis courts in Eastbourne. And by all all accounts the Amex head groundsman is considered a bit of a txxt in those circles and won't listen to any advice.
Would this friend be LamieRobertson![]()
Nitwit, I was talking about the front lawn, obviously.
Our grounds elsewhere are kept in trim by:
