good to have a contrast to the worst. Whats the prefered lager in the pubs? being interesting those which ale drinkers are tempted by.

mine would be literaly the daddy, Pilsner Urquell, though San Miguel always seems to hit the spot too.

(ale snobs need not respond - theres good and bad in both).

Any German lager brewed to their purity laws - oops just given away that I'm an ale snob!

My order of preference.......

1. Carlsberg export
2. Coors light
3. Asahi
4. Amstel 1870 (the strong one)
5. Tuborg
6. Stella
7. Grolsch
8. the 4%'s (fosters/carling etc)
.

13. Kronenbourg, got that stuff is rank, waaayyyyy to fruity tasting and leaves a horrid aftertaste to me.

Not sure wether i would class them as proper lagers but Weisbeers for me, inparticular Franzinskaner and Erdinger but not the Dunkel variety

From the UK I'd say Meantime Helles. If you go to Germany though......

as glorious as they are, they aren't lagers at all being top fermented.

Few pubs in London have it on draft, Indo in Whitechapel and The Haggerston in Dalston off the top of my head.

All the Polski lagers are great too... Zyqiec, Tyskie, Lech, Okocim, Zubr, Tatra

Tuborg, was an old favourite of mine when I used to have a Danish misses! Recently started drinking it again as it's 2.75 a pint in Wetherspoons :slurp:

Also love the "pull ring cap" feature on the bottles!
