In terms of pop music, the Beach Boys might be in competition for the European places with the likes of Simon and Garfunkle, CSN, The Everly Bros, Emmy Lou Harris, Gillian Welch and Alison Kraus etc. Open it wider and the Champions League places would be taken by Church and Folk singers. Gospel, sacred harp, plain song, choirs, (Welsh and Zulu are famously strong), family singing groups like the Watersons and Rottingdean's Copper Family.

The Eagles would be lucky to be Southampton.
