OK - get those screenies up! My copy finally arrived this morning and I already have a noteworthy result. After losing to Southend and coming back from 0-2 to scrape a 2-2 with Aldershot, here is my next game. (Played using the current squad only!)

Who can better that?

i find that playing 03/04 on quick start england league gives the best of both worlds all the top players, some obscure talented younger players and the benefit of being able to wizz through the season in about four to five hours. however on first impresions fm05 seems to run quicker, but only got the demo at the mo still waiting for the real thing to arrive from play.com (only 17.99 why would you get it anywhere else)

You can set how quickly the computer plays games that you are not involved in. The fastest setting you cant interrupt while it is loading.

I wonder if they've accounted for a ground move like they did in CM4. I did actually get Falmer up to just under 40k then. By the way, I've been playing FM2005 for a couple of days now.............fantastic!!

This game is clearly too hard.
A whole night tonight playing it and I am rooted to the bottom of the table.
Cant score for toffee and leaking goals ten to the dozen.
Getting frustrating already.

You ever played CM2 then?

Now that could be HARD. Or piss easy. Really depended what mood the game was in.

Some days you'd lose every match even if your team happened to be the entire squad of the country that just won the world cup.

I have to admit, I played the FM2005 Gold demo as Albion manager and to say it was hard is a severe understatement. Now I have the actual game, I'm Liverpool manager and it seems a damn-sight easier in comparison.

Seems that FM2005 doesn't rate Albion at all.......no offence lads!

i have gone of cm
it is stupid you lose games to a side bottom of the table and a player that has scored once during the entire season gets 4 when you play them

Somewhere over there...
Haven't got the game yet, but played the demo.

My Dad is a scout for the Albion on here. His name is Trevor Cook, they got every detail right about him apart from his Birth Year (cos he would have been old) take a look for your self!
