"Will you stop mentioning the war"
"You started it"
"We did not start it"
"Yes you did. You invaded Poland"

Oh my god where can I start:

Mrs Richards I suppose was the best, Gourmet Night was fantastic, I loved the Irish builders - "you men from orely !

Probably the funniest series ever and more imprtantly superb script writing.

Another shout (into her hearing aid!) for Mrs Richards, the episode with 'DragonFly' the winning horse. we also got a mention in that one, as she sold her house in Brighton.

So many classic moments though - the Colonel was brilliant; "Germans Fawlty? Let me get my shotgun"
"Vill you please stop talking about ze var!" -
"well you started it - you invaded Poland"

"hand me that hammer"
"Que? You want a ham..mer sandwich?"

"Manuel, let me explain" (jabs Manuel in the eye)

Manuel, behind head of moose; "I learn Eeenglish very goood, I read it in a booook" (while the Colonel takes up conversation with moose)

:clap2:

Germans...probably.

Also liked it when Basil threatened his car when it broke down! "Right, I'm going to give you a damn good thrashing!"
