has to be Gritt, without this man ,would would not have a league football club, there would have been no mickey adams!

he didnt get a fair crack of the whip when he was harshly sacked, they guy had a team with 2000 people watching most weeks paying 70 miles from home, no money and A SHIT BOARD BEHIND HIM. who konws what he would have acheved given more time?!

Too f***ing right, i can't believe you are the first to mention him. He kept this club alive under huge pressure. Remember when people were telling him not to join the club because of Archer and Bullshitty but he kept focus on the job in hand and i thankhim for it.

Brighton Legend.

Thanks Gritty!!

Mullery or Micky, and since Mullers is now a fully-fledged twat, got to be the dour northerner and his siege mentality.

Too far from the sun
Although Mullery got us to the old division 1, he had a big helping hand from (the old) Peter Taylor and from Mike Bamber's money. Micky Adams took us from near the bottom of the league at Gillingham, won div 3 and left us with the squad that won div 2, all with very limited resources. Easily the best manager in my 30+ years of watching the Albion. If last night's Leicester/Leeds match is any guide he could yet pull off a minor miracle and keep them in the prem.

yeah but given the choice netween watching the team managed by Taylor (RIP) and Mullery I'd always go for Mullers...............

Adams did alright but we are talking the basement here, wheras Mullery took us from the old third to the first with pretty much the ame bunch of players and made us in to a reasonablke First DIvision club.

ALL (?!) MA did was win the Third Division

sits back waits for flack from the youngsters

The only flak I'll give you is that under Mullery we struggled in div 1. It was Mike Bailey that steadied the ship, however it was soooo boring to watch that I stopped going for a while after a particularly drab 0-0 draw with Stoke City.

Mullery's teams weren't boring to watch. If we were poor in the first half you knew that the players would be back out on the pitch within 5 minutes and made to kick a ball about, and it usually worked. I think Mullery was a good manager for us, but I think Adams was better.

Why can't I vote for Jeff Wood or Jimmy Case? What about Martin Hinshelwood?
