he's been given the heave- ho by Kevin Blackwell?

No pussyfooting about no fence sitting straight yes or no assuming we can sort out sensible wages and length of contract.

I would be a fence but as there is no choice I'd tell him to keep on going to Newhaven without bothering to stop

I think I would.

He had every right to try and do better somewhere else. He probably should have informed the club what he was doing, but the fact that he has not earned himself anything elsewhere might make him appreciate he could've been on to a decent thing here.

And lets face it he's miles better than El-Abd.

Not convinced that a decent player who comes back because no-one else wants him is really the type of player we want when things get tough. As far as I'm concerned he was looking disinterested at the end of last season when you'd have expected him to boss the midfield with Hammond out. Good player yes but no good to us if he doesn't really want to be here imo.

Spot on Icy.

I feel the same.

I have nothing against him wanting to play in a higher division or another league abroad but Luton f***ing town in the same division AND we offered him a fair wedge I understand.

Sod off. Au Revoir.

Never did - a waste of money on an vastly overrated player. It's no suprise that his next best offer is a trial from a League 1 club.

The fact that he obviously doesn't want to play for us is further reason why we SHOULDN'T sign him.

Always blame the agent.

So lets get this right. BHA have offered you a cracking deal and you have settled in gods own county.

"Zut alors! I am the great Alex Bertin, my talentz are zat I should be playing for ze big club non?"

Agent: I will see what I can do.

Agent: I got you a trial at Luton Town.......

to be honest yes i would

he has got the creativity we need and haven't managed to get covered over the post-season so far , plus yes its obvious he wants to show his potential at a bigger club (i think every player does) so whats so bad about us being his shop window

if he does well a club will come in for him , we say goodbye and get abit of cash on the back of some good performances - win win?

Bridge building with Nimby's and now 80% want to take back a player who lost interest after less than a 1/4 of a season, gobsmacked

But it wasn't as though he left us to go on trial at Luton. He left because he though/was advised that he could get a 'better' club/contract, he was on trial with a Ligue 2 (ie Championship level) club. Obviously that didn't work out.

i find it quite funny that we are debating wether a player who is so much better than the majority of our players, who maybe would want to come back here, and we are suggesting that we are better without him.

Only NSC

:)

No we're not, some of are suggesting that however good he is, if his hearts not in it do we need him.
