Lots on here about The Terrace but no thread about the fan zone that seems to have popped up in Bennets Field.
Arriving by coach or P&R you cant fail to see it and v Leicester couldn't fail to hear it either.
Is a football match turning into an all day event now?
For me, meeting up with mates in the East Upper concourse is now great as it is empty.

I've not ventured up that way as we either travel by train or car and would need to pass our entrance to E17 to get there. My partner has been up there to get our coffees from the van (much nicer than the concourse ones) but said there are no benches to sit on to enjoy the coffee or fish and chips (I need to sit)

I did email BarberOBE to ask if they could relocate/add a few benches there and he said that the vans (coffee, fish and chips and music) were only there temporarily so that was not possible!

They will back indoors in the winter.

The North concourse was noticeably emptier than usual when I arrived at 2:30 yesterday.

Do Sodexo also operate the fan zones etc? Can’t imagine they’d be too happy if they don’t! With the Swan and uni bars being good options too, there’s definitely more incentive to arrive earlier without having to pay for an expensive & poor pint from inside the Amex.

If they are only there temporarily why not put the benches there temporarily?

So why did he bother putting the club shop there.

It's only temporary!

Or in my case arrive larer, and enjoy my choice of pre-match refreshmes at my choice of venue in central Brighton, before catching the bus to the Amex.

From the little l've seen of the Terrace it fills me with dread, seeing what seems to be hundreds of fans, many of them drink fuelled, spilling out onto the outer concourse.

Maybe it's an age thing, but l prefer a table and a chair, a chance to enjoy a dink and a bite to eat, and to be able to hear the conversation l am having with my mates.
