Contract potential aside I find it hilarious that they all assume he wants to stay at Leeds.

The best one I’ve seen is the reference that a Leeds fan claims to have seen him on a golf and when asked about staying White said “let’s see” as being positive.

Let’s be honest you’re approached by a 4 ball group of loud aggressive entitled drunks (assumptions are amazing) who are taking your response as a life and death moment what what would you do?

The Albion seem very relaxed about the situation, so maybe true.

We've currently no players contracted to 2024 - the majority are until 2023 - so White would be the first.

No surprise there, they were pretty relaxed in the cluster**** of Poyet being sacked, a much much bigger deal than Leeds fans posturing

Also good to see how Ben has handled himself during all this. To say 'let's see' to a Leeds fan is a perfect answer. He's not disenfranchised himself from the Leeds fans at all, and has rightly, and deservedly joined in with all their celebrations. He didn't get carried away yesterday either after his great goal.
It's not easy continually saying the right thing and not disrespecting either Leeds or Brighton.
Everyone is a winner here; White obviously for his own development and in fairness, having the opportunity to work under a very gifted manager in Bielsa. The Albion, as this has been a big step in the player's development and now is the right time to get him into the senior squad. Finally, Leeds as he has helped them get promotion. Unfortunately I think it's likely a large number of Leeds fans will turn on him when he signs a new contract with Brighton which is a shame. Hopefully the majority will see it for what it was, a win win for all concerned.

Graham Potter says Ben White is "100%" ready for the Premier League and will complement Albion's other defenders.

The centre-back is set to return to the Seagulls after his title-winning loan season in the Championship at Leeds.

Albion are well stocked for centre-backs, although White can also play on the right of defence or in midfield.

Head coach Potter said: "He brings a different type of centre-back. I think he complements the others really well.

"He has got attributes that are really, really useful and he is going to be a top player."

White scored his first goal for Leeds last night by chesting down a clearance and then volleying the ball as it dropped.

Asked if he was surprised by the goal, Potter said: "He has got that quality.

"Maybe not too many of those but it was a nice finish."

Potter was asked whether White was ready for the Premier League and replied: "Absolutely, 100%."

Any guesses what the player rubbing the Leeds badge on White’s shirt might be talking to him about?

I’m going for “Can I have your shirt after the game”

Leeds fans responding to Tom Barclay's tweet adamant that a transfer request is all that's required. When did a transfer request last mean anything? Someone ought to tell them how this business works.

Yeah, I remember when Dale Stephens put in a transfer request - Now years later it feels like he’ll be playing in our midfield forever! 🤣
