At least we wouldn't have to DIP into the transfer budget.

Remember seeing him play on Sky towards the end of the 2013-14 season for Rotherham in the League One play-offs. His delivery of a cross/deadball was impressive. An area where we haven't done very well recently. Might be worth a punt.

Don't know much about him. Is he a left or right winger ? Is he quick ?

Can play wide but operates best in central areas. Is left footed, athletic but does not possess real pace. His strengths lie in moving the ball quickly with few touches and having an excellent range of passing. As mentioned earlier his delivery from dead balls is outstanding too. Is aggressive but is not a frightening figure to behold and some may consider him in the 'frail' category considering his history with injuries.

He's another player who has had a campaign blighted by niggling injuries. Was incredibly highly thought of before the start of last season and was mooted for a move away from the New New York stadium. He is a Geordie, so he may want to stay up north but that is just me guessing. On a free he is unquestionably worth looking at.

Definitely worth considering then.

Ah Brian's son; saw on the tube the other day, he certainly put in some crunching tackles. But is he the right flavour for us? That should put the lid on this and seal the deal.......

PS dont know anything about him....

He was excellent at The Amex last season. Would slot nicely into a left midfield role in a Hughton 4-4-1-1, alongside Stephens, Kayal and Ince. Get him, and then we need a left-back, one-up-top centre-forward of quality, and a creative forward that plays off the one-up-top but can also play wide/middle in a 4-2-3-1, CH's other preferred formation.
