It reminds me of the NFL. Why play well in the league if you have no chance of winning anything, and no chance of relegation. They can just throw the towel in the league and focus on other competitions

It could easily be argued that - given the world class talent at his disposal - a non-Plodder manager could have achieved the same results in half the time.
