Wednesday night is our usual midweek game night so I dont see the problem with making both clubs £37,000 extra for it. you could have come up here, got beat, and left with nothing, now if the worst happens for you then you get something out of it.

What the hell are you talking about? Why would people have a go about a Wednesday game? Or have I missed a thread?

There seems to be far too many people jumping to the conclusion that we are hypocrites and are selling out to TV companies just because we accept the offers of TV

I was driving up but with the game on tv I probably won't bother tbh given the current weather forecast and the risk of the game being called off - long way to go with a real risk there won't be a game to watch. I have a feeling there won't be a hundred Albion fans in the ground which is sad

I would imagine ESPN will provide us with a protective cover/tent for the pitch so it doesnt freeze and so it will definitely go ahead

So who exactly has moaned about it being a Wednesday night? Have I missed something or are you fishing?
The fact it's televised suits us whatever night it's on fella...saves sorting out time off work and organising a trip up to watch the reserves.

Ah! Although you did for the Rochdale game?

Not at all. That was a decision made by the board after alot of deliberation about the affect it would have on both sets of fans. We could have kept the game on the saturday and no club make anything from it or we could move it to the friday when travel to the ground was just as easy as saturday and help us get our own home even quicker and the money also be a big help to Rochdale

There will be people that will come on here saying that we are selling out to the TV companies and bowing to their demands to cash in. There was someone on here slating us just yesterday for everything that we have done in the past 5 years including the Rochdale game

Not a cat in hell's chance I would make the effort to go to a game that we, as a club, can hardly be bothered to take seriously. Shame as getting beaten will be highly embarrassing and the chances of that happening are good. The manager doesn't care and it's rubbed off onto the players in the two other cups we've crashed out of without a whimper so quite likely to happen again with the massive backing you are likely to have for this game.

Good luck to you.

Not driving 200 miles midweek, to our reserves play.

Bollocks to that.

Same as that. We (A21) would have gauged interest amongst our lot for a mini-bus - but no point now it's on the box. Bad fans? Maybe...but if Gus is putting the reserves out, midweek up North at a ground we've all ticked off in the past, for a game that's on the box, we'd struggle to fill a car much less a bus. Christmas is coming.

The Championship.
I know it is not as far but if it would be anything like Northampton on the Tuesday night in the Carling Cup then there is no point in going. Just the reserves. Thankyou ESPN.

Mate. Trust me. Nobody cares. Take whatever you can get and feather your nest for the future. No-brainer. You infer there's some sort of persecution of your clubs actions going on. Get a thicker skin. You'll need it if you're going to last in the game.

Is there dissention in the FC United ranks? Are they going to break away & form their own club Real FC United of Manchester?

Enjoy your five minutes, And make as much money off it as you possibly can!

We have many detractors out there that will be saying we are going against what we believe in and all that garbage but never actually have the full story of why we accept the offer. I just want to put reasons out there first
