The whole point of a transfer value, is that it is based on how much the player earns and how long he has left on his contract. Thats what i thought.

I'd say about one million is about right and if he stays until January, 500k.

Exactly, I'm pretty sure Leeds would sell him for 800k-1M right now, which is less than he is worth but they will lose him on a free in 12months so i'm sure their chairman who is a bit of a tight wad will accept whatever he can get.

I'm not sure, if Beckford fires them to the Championship next year and then leaves on a free he'd still be worth more than if they sold him for a cut price this year and then fail to get promoted. Leeds are notoriously stubborn and i'd imagine that unless they get 1.5m plus he won't be going anywhere. (Watch him go for 500k now! :lolol:)

Yes I see your point about him firing them to the championship but after rejecting a new deal he's not going to help the clubs dressing room harmony is he and that in itself weakens the teams chances of promotion, And about Leeds being stubborn I totally agree but when a player only has a year on his contract you don't have alot to bargain with except the ability of the player, if he had 3 years left on his contract for example I would say other clubs would be forced to bid more because Leeds have a bargaining chip in his contact.

I'm pretty sure a fee has been agreed with Villa for Delph.

Will go to upper Championship or maybe a newly promoted premiership team. Quality player when he wants to be and puts his mind to it and will get goals higher up. Hopefully Leeds lose most of their good players

A Leeds fan of mine, reckons he is a lazy git, so Murray & Beckford, would be funny.

He is exactly the same as Leon Knight or Izale Mcleod in the way that he thinks he is bigger than the club, puts in minimal effort, and only does anything when he can be arsed. He may have an impressive goalscoring record, but he gets a lot of his chances handed to him on a plate.
He's not a bad player, but he's definitely not a Premiership player.

Coventry , Scunny and Newcastle are all interested. There is also the possibility he wants to move back to London so QPR are an option if they want him.
