Drive by abusing
Yes i think he's awesome.
One of the most mental things i think i've seen him do is show how to get out of freezing cold icy water. Then stripping naked & patting himself down with snow.
SNOW natures towel!!!

He's a fraud apparently.

He's no fraud. This misconception was born out of the fact that sometimes in his programs he is put in situations that he hasn't naturally fallen in to.

Things like drinking his own piss, he didn't have to do that, he just done it for viewing pleasure.

This is mentioned at the start of his shows. It says something like " Some situations in this show have been staged". This lead people to believe that he was fake.

As you can tell I'm a big fan.

Why can't the camera and sound people just give him some of their food and drink? And let him stay in their tent at nighttime.

I thought the fraud stuff was more to do with being caught staying in hotels when he was supposed to be sleeping rough on one of his jaunts. No idea if it's tue, that's what I recall from the headlines though.

While I think the stuff he does is very difficult, I do wonder what the point is. He can do it ... he was trained to do it ... I get it. Don't min dwatching it occassionally though.

He could beat Mears in a fight any day.

The show is utterly contrived. Some of the stuff is interesting, but it's hyped beyond belief which makes it near-unwatchable to me... It's like Ray Mears but for people with a very short attention span.

Little rich boy who had enough family money behind him to get him up Everest at an early age and off the back of which he got on TV where he is portrayed as this 'amazing adventurer' eating his own shit, or whatever he does. TV for pre-pubescent boys to 'wow' at while the wool is pulled over their eyes. My mate goes to the same Surrey church as him and says he's a complete, up his own arse, bell end. See also that blond posh bloke presenter who dated that girl off Big Brother.

Yeah, the show may seem contrived. It depends what you want to take form it. If you want to feel that he is in mortal peril you're going to be disappointed. If you want "top tips" on how to survive by drinking your own piss and chowing down on caterpillars then you'll be learning something along the way.

Good luck to the man.
