It was the 'fule' bit wasn't it.

What are you doing on the Farm, Bry? I used to work on a farm. They has about 200 horses. Silly idea as I am petrified of horses!

:lolol: Green Mans f***ed.

But are you willing to accept that other people's opinion is ok if in your opinion it is acceptable that you opinion is accepted by the people whose opinion accepted your opinion accepts their opinion?

Of course. Aren't you?

Mostly tractor / machinery driving tomorrow, plus repairing some fences.

27 horses on the farm that I occasionally help out on on my days off. I love them to bits (no pun intended), and work there in exchange for being able to ride when I get the time.

My opinion is that other people's opinion is ok as long as that opinion is free to accept other's opinions.

That's quite a sentence :)

But it is one, that in principle, I agree with.

However, let's face it, I'm not in a position to form my own opinion, I've not studied the science behind every single little bit of it.

But, I do know that a report written by over 800 scientists (including 450 lead-authors), that involved almost 3 years of work, is bound to be worth trusting. This isn't exactly an equal-sided debate with a couple of "experts" on each side chucking arguments at each other.

I am not going to be won over by a single C4 documentary, like many here seem to have been - even if it is what I'd like to hear, and allows me to justify driving a 4x4 around everywhere, buying supermarket food in 4 nice layers of packaging, and dumping my rubbish everywhere.

And breathe.

[Yorkie - I realise that with your quote at the top, this may seem like a personal attack, but I assure you that's not at all how it's attended. This is just something that gets my temperature rising (boom boom)]

 It all started back in '95 or so. We had school running leagues. 9 two mile races across our grounds and the public realm. Due to Health & Safety ( ) we were not allowed to run up the school drive due to non-existant traffic, so we had to make our way across one of the fields (full of horses). One of them attacked me - could have been a shire horse or a shetland pony - and knocked me to the ground. Ever since then, I have been wary of the beasts.

There was one moment on the farm, when two horses escaped and I was told to stand between them and the road. I bottled it and dived into a nearby workhouse. Unfortunately, it had a rather small door frame and I managed to split my head open on the top of the frame.  I got bitten by a donkey when I was about three, so it may stem from that, coupled with the close encounter when I was 15.

Evil critters. :censored:

That's how much we value our firefighters.

We might look knackered when we turn up, but we ALWAYS turn up.

Fire & Rescue Service - Britian's fastest emergency response*

* latest stats show that Fire & Rescue appliances are in attendance in an average of under 9 minutes from time of first 999 call (urban areas = > 5 mins).

Ironic, seeing as gas must account for a huge amount of work for the Firefighters.
