Now, I'm not one to start salacious gossip but apparently for the last 3 years some world champion angler has polled the most votes in the BBC Sports personality but, surprise surprise, never gets a mention at the BBC event. 4 million registered fisherman in the UK but not a lot of it covered on BBC TV. Hmm…
