Most radio stations are for easy listening, for all the insomniacs that tune in, so I suppose mistakes by the DJS sometimes are missed.

I’m surprised that Mavis from Storrington didn’t call in to complain.

Regarding the Sunday morning gardening & ponds phone in, all callers seem to be posh old ladies from villages near Guildford or Pulborough, with issues on clearly already dead trees :lolol:

A couple of years ago I heard Sylvie Blackmore (or her producer) in error play the same song immediately after it had played. They never said a word about it.

Probably The Riddle by Nik Kershaw ... they tend to play that every show.

Lol, that's local radio for you! I'm surprised that the BBC puts it's name to it really.

You know LamieRobertson is an expert on pruning posh old ladies shrubbery:wink:

I remember the days of local radio, where you had DJ Billy Bob counting down the top ten from Jan 1881 :shootself

Thank Christ for that.

Unlike the other presenters, elocution lessons Pringle was a boring narcissist. Every morning going about his world - how fit he was, the much younger wife met at the BBC, his kids. The other Radio Sussex and Surrey presenters come across as personable.

Best news of 2020! Never forgiven him when he went into Management and culled Bill Buckley, John Radford and Dom Busby, all of whom were far, far better presenters than him.

Good footballer too was John Radford, scored a hatful of goals for the Gooners back in the late 60's and early 70's.

Wonder if he could still do a job?

At least Neil Prickngle hasn't been on in weeks, hopefully he has been sacked...

Pringle retired about 6 months ago, we have an even worse breakfast presenter now, Alison Ferns.

At least we no longer have to listen to members of the station trying to guess the age of named celebs, after some weeks regularly they admitted they had no idea of the person but still had to hazard a guess, great when you are waiting for road and weather reports.

I have to agree. The breakfast show is now awful. I used to listen for about 30 minutes under the Pringle regime, now it’s the news and weather at 6 am and switch off. After That.

My trip to work in the car is about 20 minutes, that's all I could stand of Pringle, I now have to listen to 5live and Campbell in the morning.

Come on Vegster, you can't be dissing the lovely 'Fluffy', it's like Radio Mumsnet...

AAAGGGGGGGHHHHH !!!!! I can't stand the fake joviality. When I'm driving to work at 7am I want facts, hard news, travel and weather not giggles.

Gave them up a long time ago now it seems. Too depressing listening to radio woe-vid. Podcasts and audiobooks far superior, interesting and beneficial. Likes of Campbell and do have had their day and it’s over.

Don’t even think about listening to Zoe Ball then
