BBC iPlayer Question

If you download a program they only last so long however can they be transferred to an iPod Touch for instance or is there some encryption on it that prevents this ?

I thought Iplayer was streaming only - not download
I have Iplayer app on Ipad which is great -
Have you tried getting the Iplayer app to stream straight to your touch?
