Being serious for one moment and i know i can’t speak for everybody on here who lives in the city but in the last two years ive seen a dramatic improvement in refuse collection, to date they haven’t missed a weekly refuse in 18 months and 12 months for recycling, i guess it will be interesting to see what happens with manpower when the clowncil introduce its food waste collection aka street seagull feeders
I was going to say that's my experience too. The fortnightly recycling occasionally has been four-weekly, but the main weekly rubbish collection hasn't been missed for ages. Also our day is Monday, and in the old days if it was a Bank Holiday it all got shifted a day or more. Now they pick up on Bank Holidays. It's a much better service than it was.

I can't comment on the stories (and I'm not going to join in with any union-bashing, or the puns), but yes, obviously there are some problems. They should be sorted out before they try and expand the service.
