sounds like group of staff gone bad hiding behind the union, and rather than stop it the union protects them. cant say i'm shocked as know of similar incidents with GMB elsewhere.

This was on another thread last week but I'm buggered if I can find it now, so not surprised you couldn't!
You should recycle the thread.

Being serious for one moment and i know i can’t speak for everybody on here who lives in the city but in the last two years ive seen a dramatic improvement in refuse collection, to date they haven’t missed a weekly refuse in 18 months and 12 months for recycling, i guess it will be interesting to see what happens with manpower when the clowncil introduce its food waste collection aka street seagull feeders

Went there recently to drop some waste off, the security guard was nothing short of a rude, obnoxious prick who had a massive anger problem.

there is also a guy in the north stand who is obsessed with bins.
To be fair, it’s a rubbish job.

Saying 'anger problem' sounds like a bad thing.

Lucky for you. The communal bins at Highcroft Lodge are frequently left unemptied for weeks. This is because it needs one of the small trucks to come up the access road and several of these trucks are out of action - due supposedly to vandalism and fire damage. I was tidying up the road and front gardens again today due to rubbish thrown everywhere by foxes and seagulls. Bins piled up high and uncollected again for weeks, both refuse and recycling.

I knew this strike would be bin bag-grovating for the public.

Just far enough away from LDC
One of the purveyors of the criticism of the waste collection services is a local councillor known to a few of us.

Sadly my completely bonkers local councillor (independent yet verging somewhere between tory and reform) has aligned with him on this matter.
