I think I'd take the money and go take one of the many job offers that I'm sure are coming his way. A nice little number, heading up the Youth Academy at a Premiership club (Pompey - would be my bet), would seem good.

I would think he could land a job at a higher placed club than us.

Imo, we can thank DW for the fact that we have a crop of exciting youngsters and there are plenty of teams who'd like to see the quality that has come through at little comparative expense and a very big part of that is down to DW.

I reckon he'd be well in demand on the youth development side.
Exactly. In ten years' time he could be the experienced manager of a mid-table Premiership team who's directors are grateful at the conveyor-belt of talent he brings through the youth set-up.

Meanwhile we could be on our seventh manager having yo-yo'd between the 2nd and 3rd tiers with teams full of disinterested lower-divison journeymen whilst struggling to attract more than 9000 into the costly white elephant that is Falmer.

(Alternatively in ten years' time we could be playing to full houses in the Premiership and Wilkins could be working at Burger King. What do I know?)

Look, he may well get a youth job at a higher-placed club, but...

1. Isn't that a backward step?
2. He would then have to move his family...

He should stay... he won't do better...

I think he should spill the beans on exactly what did go on around Xmas time with the contracts. End the rumours, dispel the myths and shatter a few egos along the way. I heard this morning that he is definitely leaving, though I don't think that is much of a shock to anyone!
