Indeed, the Barton bashing is getting almost a dull as complaining to the BBC.
I watch the game last night and thought Barton played really well.

Watched the game and to be fair to Barton the ref gave some poor decisions against him.
As for him sticking a finger on someone, it was absolutely nothing. No worse then two players put there heads together.Witch hunt on Barton this time.

I cant f***ing stand the guy but if they pin point every little thing he does this will get very boring soon.

100% WRONG.

He has a 6 match suspended sentence hanging over him, if he re-offends in any way.

He's effectively on probabtion, and they are exactly right to watch his EVERY move.

At the end of the day, its for him to NOT poke people in the face, isn't it?

Edit; I didn't see the game - so I'm not commenting on the particular incident - just saying that he IS and SHOULD be under constant scrutiny. In the long term it might help him save his career.

WRONG.

people poke push and foul each other all the time - its part of the game - i play sat league and although its not normal, we ended up having amassive fight between our own players this week.

Barton probably acted like anyone else would in the heat of the game, its a fuckign NON story.

I don't feel my evening is complete unless I've poked somebody in the face.

This particular incident is a non-story.

That wasn't the point. I was responding to the point that it will be wrong if they 'watch his every move'. He's on probation for his past shenanigans. They are duty bound to watch his every move.

If knowing that forces him to sort himself out, then it serves a purpose.

Oh, and I love playing against teams like yours that start fighting each other. They invariably lose concentration and get beaten.

..and in his first game back he was doing that stupid kissing of the badge nonsense because he 'was being provoked.' The guy is as thick as pig shit. I reckon it will be less than a year before he is back in the nick.

In fact who is easier to wind up? Barton or Bushy?

Is it really so hard for Barton to just play normally? He knows he is being closely watched, so why doesn't he just keep his head down for a few games and play well, rather than getting involved in these pointless petty niggles?

That tackle on Luke Young could've turned out nasty. Went in studs up.
