I watched the Cov V Forest game last night.
For the benefit of those who went to the Binley arms before the game last year I saw Bilbo Baggins the Small Irish women glass collector in the pub beforehand, she wasn't downing dregs but she did tell a bunch of Forest Collectors to F**k off when they commented on her nice ar$e.
It was a good game - Lets me know what we are missing in terms of the skill level (well from Forest anyway). Coventry were awful - Morrell looked good and Konjic was solid but that was about it. Adebola and their full backs - pub. Get your money on them going down I reckon.
Barrett played on the right wing but was interesting to watch why he doesn't score any goals. One cross from the left was begging for someone to come forward from midfield but he was standing like a lemon on the wing just watching play. When he did bear down on goal you can imagine the result. Two were the familiar one touch look up shoot from 25 yards. One went in row Z, the other scuttled along the ground towards the corner flag. He did in fairness have a free kick which hit the bar and was unlucky not to go in. The funny thing is I read an article in the local paper with Barrett saying how he thinks he will score goals every time he steps on the pitch, how I laughed when I read that & it did give me a sense of deja vu, anyone remember his pushing for an Arsenal 1st team place comments last year? (Pires & Henry seem to have seen him off) Cov fans seem to like him, like us though they will learn.
