OB down in the corner looked a bit shocked when the "On The Pitch" chant went up with a minute to go and realised the 5 of them and the stewards wouldn't be enough if we all went on the pitch after the final whistle.

There is no point to it - it happens every year wherever we are in the league. Sort of a tradition now - mind you I never bother going on if there's nowt to celebrate!
Always makes me laugh how the stewards go into over drive and are usually stood like pillocks in front of the away stand with loads of empty seats

A few years ago Wolves won the Championship at Oakwell on our last home game so there were 7,000 Wolves fans on the pitch and the usual Barnsley invasion - was chaos!!

A pitch invasion is traditional for the last home game of the season , regardless of where you finish in the league.
