No doubt about it, our season is not only being shaped by this run, it is disappearing before our eyes.

I am not surprised that things are proving tough, the Championship has been a very good league for a few years and I honestly believe this is a good vintage. Expectations, already too high, were further fuelled by the good start. And let's not forget how everyone expected to turn Millwall over. Okay, they lost a couple of players in the summer but were a very good team last season and have now hit 10 goals in three successive wins since our draw there. Even Watford pull off results from time to time.

Injuries are killing us, but there is no point bleating about that, there probably isn't too much wrong that a win wouldn't put right but it has to come soon or confidence will drain away.

If we lose that game I am going to have some very big questions about the way we play football, and if it is effective in this league.

We wouldn't beat Cardiff now - that's for sure.

Yes you would, they were poor at Elland Road, had we had some inform Strikers playing we would of burried that game, they aren't as good as some people think(Over 20 shots on their goal vs 6 shots on ours) lol

That said I predict this game will be where Brighton turns a corner and wins.

it worked for swansea and they are in the pl. it worked for us in the first 6 games but for one reason or another the wheels have come off. now i for one dont believe its just down to the players but i do think gus sometimes is a bit slow to what is happening on the pitch. i really do think the 3 games in 7 days has taken the energy out of this team and we have not recovered. im hoping beat barnsley have a couple of weeks off a couple of new players and we will be back on it again. but this season i will be happy with mid season finish and a good fa cup run

Those 3 games were tough, esp to lose to Palace at the end of them. Really believe they're as much to blame as most things.

If we don't beat Barnsley, it would be pretty churlish for us to consider the rest of our season as anything other than a mission to stay up.

Barnsley are a tough side. When we(Leeds) played Barnsley at their place last season they beat us 5 - 2 because we fell apart like a house of cards. Not saying you'l get an easy win but one things for sure, the Brighton squad need to get into the winning mentality and take control of the game and keep it to win.
