[h=3]Barnes fancied an Emirates replay[/h] 2:00pm Sunday 27th January 2013 in Albion By Brian Owen
Ashley Barnes has admitted he thought Albion were heading for a place in today's FA Cup fifth round draw.
Barnes scored against Arsenal yesterday but a late Theo Walcott goal gave the Gunners a 3-2 win.
The Seagulls were eyeing a possible replay at the Emirates after twice coming from behind.
Barnes said: “We are disappointed. We thought we had a replay or maybe we could even nick it at the end.
“But they have got top players in their team and they came out with the win.”
Barnes is convinced Albion can take momentum from their performance against the Gunners into their Championship campaign.
He added: "We need to get back to the league and start picking up points.
"You learn a lot. Everything about them is Premer League class and that is where we want to be.
"Hopefully we get there this season."
