Don't see Barca going for Bart this summer but he is surely on our future GK shortlist alongside Joan Garcia (Espanyol) and Lucas Chevalier (Lille)

Priority is Garcia who was arguably the best GK in La Liga this season and almost singlehandedly kept Espanyol up. Club sees him as a good market opportunity because of his €25m release clause but Newcastle and City are also in for him though reports today are saying Garcia already discarded City who are now focused on Diogo Costa.

We'll see, I think he'll go to Newcastle because he wants to be a starter and he wouldn't be at Barca eventhough I think he's better than both MATS (most fans don't like him and he had injury problems in both of last two seasons) and Szczesny (he reportedly accepted a 1+1 year renewal offer). There were also rumours last week we are considering to sign Garcia and then loan him to Valencia. Don't buy that but stranger things have happened.

Barca given up on Rushworth then? Fair enough - maybe it's time to give him a go (if Bart goes) rather than linking to any other spare GK somewhere in Europe (or in relegated PL teams).

Between Rushworth, Scherpen and Beadle, we're pretty blessed with decent options between the sticks.

You'd hope they'd all get a fair crack in preseason if Bart was to leave.
