As Ernest said Too Late. It said click here for details of the claim so I did, to find out what it was about. What is my next step? I am so gullible with PCs.
No shit BG. You need to wise up and learn, or you'll get robbed. We've been through this with you before.

Is it not natural if you receive an e mail from a legal firm, as a google search showed, and it says for further detaiks of the claim click here, you click to find out exactly what it is. Or am I being naive and too trusting?

Yes, you are being naive and too trusting.
I'm not the most computer savvy person, but even I know not to open links in emails if I don't know the sender.

What was the email address of the sender? That is generally a giveaway.

The fact the link has been removed from the internet that was hosting the Trojan/Malware has probably saved your bacon.

There are a lot of these kind of spam from accountants / HMRC / legal firms etc at the moment.

Why would a solicitor email you? Where would they get your email address from.

I received an e mail from these people but know nothing about it. It says pre trial notice and has a link to read the details but when I clicked on it a message came up error 404, Anybody know anything about them a google shows they are International Lawyers but doesnt say what field they specialise in.

You received an E mail from someone you nothing about.

But clicked on the link anyway.

You are a bigger fool than we all thought.

London is home to the Firm's largest office where Baker & McKenzie has been well established since opening in 1961. With more than 400 legal professionals, we have a substantial presence in the legal and business community.

We deliver high-quality local solutions across a broad range of practices and global advice in conjunction with our 76 international offices. Our client base consists primarily of multinational corporates, based in the UK and elsewhere, and financial institutions.

Our Corporate and Finance teams regularly advise on, and co-ordinate, complex, cross-border transactions for our clients. As a full service office, we cover all the practices expected of a major law firm in the UK, many of which are acclaimed and market-leading.

We place an important emphasis on the development and well being of our people. We look to enable all of our people to be the best they can be. Our Associate Training Programme allows our lawyers to work in other international offices helping to foster and reinforce our global approach to doing business. We are also actively committed to serving the community we operate in through numerous corporate social responsibility and diversity initiatives.

We also make sure we rip of twats that post bullshit on football rumours and want to build a lego ground at cement works.

That is out of order as I do not post on rumours site just report back here what is posted about us on there. As regards the cement works that was only 1 signature away from becoming fact but that is water under the bridge and we have moved on , so should you, as I and many more have.

As a general rule, if you're not expecting an e-mail from someone and it asks you to click a link (no matter how innocous it seems) just don't do it. Delete it and don't worry.

Most e-mail scams now appear to come from legitimate firms, it doesn't mean it actually is. I've had a few from 'HSBC' in the last week regarding my account with them, which is impressive when you consider I don't actually have one.

Oh, also, if you don't recall actually giving the firm in question your e-mail address in the first place then it's probably a good sign that something isn't quite right.
