thank you for those kind words,(yet again you faceless pratt).if we are in this mess together as you supposed supporters say we are, then why oh why are you talking shit like you've invented the game.in times like this we don't need sarcasm, we need solidarity
people saying we should beat teams like derby and wolves?f***ing get a grip.:thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud:

To be honest I doubt that many fans would have said before the games that we should be beating teams like Wolves and Derby, but after the game I wouldn't be surprised to hear people saying that we should have won. I know I was saying that after the Wolves game.

We have made progress this season, especially with the limited resources that we have, and the signings we've made this season have in the main been successful and are growing in confidence with each game. BUT, we still seem to be unable to kill games off that we have dominated for long periods, and this has often, too often really, led to draws when we should have won. Leeds is a prime example of this.

As Pev said though we're in dreamland really. Holding our own against all the odds. If we were getting stuffed every week then I might be worried, but we're not, and we're by no means down and out.

It's great innit - a bad defeat and no one can finger either Oatway or McCammon.

Interesting to see who is third scapegoat in line, and amazingly, it looks as if it's the manager

Or Leon.

ok so we lost at stoke , we never win their, so why get on the player's back's , most of the midfield are out injured, we have a young team, who are getting to grips with this league, and they have proved they can play at this level, but sometime's the rub of the green goes against them, they need picking up (after a word from mm) so come on people , let's get behind the lad's (palarse are coming soon) and show them that we keep the faith and so should they.

ktf remember the dark day's and look forward, look at where we are now to then.

Exactly It could be a lot worse. We could be Gillingham fans for instance :dunce:

Surely Gillingham would be a better replacement, as they swapped places with Hull - Sunderland went up to the Premiership.

We really missed the spine of our team today: Henderson, on form centre backs, Oatway and Knight.

We are in the best position weve been in for years. We will have a patch soon when we will win a few in a row, we are not getting the luck for us at present. For example, we havent even had a penalty this season. If we win a game, we are 16th, panic over. KTF, and stop picking on individual players as scapegoats, we are in this together.

Whoah,

If someone is going to put something I have printed in quotes then at least do me the service of printing the whole sentence rather than just a few words and then taking it completely out of context.

What was implied was that Guy was not on his usual form and was surrounded by players many years younger than himself, hence the reference to kids. The choice of the word "clown" was in reference to the situation he found himself in, has nobody here ever been to a kids party and seen the look of horror on the face of the childrens entertainer when faced with the enormity of the task in front of him.

As for calling me a "faceless prat", well I shall treat that with the disdain that it deserves.

Think you might be right, we do have a very young team but need to have the old heads (Butters, Oatway, Carpenter and possibly Dodd) on the pitch to give the team a bit of steel and drive

Referring to a player as a "clown" is never going to be particularly complimentary though is it, whatever situation you were referring to.

From what you were saying, I thought you meant he was making poodle balloons instead of marking Bangoura.

Bad game all round but I never expected us to win, however, with the possession we had we should have had a point.

And you must add Carpenter to that. The Palace team in the first half was by far the best team we've put out this year, and this is what we must strive to get back to once all the injuries, indiscipline and transfer window problems clear up. That team not only was able to go forward with flair but crucially stopped the other team team going forward too, that's the elusive combination that's escaped us so often this season despite our morale-boosting fluid play.

Reading a lot of accounts of yesterday's game, it seems more of the same, we didn't play badly but just could not shut down Stoke when they had their good periods.

It's about balance - plenty of other players provide the pace, McShane, Carole, Frutos, OGH, Reid, Jake. We have pace in the squad, it's just these players need the structure and framework of the experience players around them to really make them effective.

It was a dissapointing day but in the grand scheme of things I would put it down as an 'off' day.

The 400 or so brighton fans all seemed proper annoyed at the end.

As an Albion supporter we all know there are going to be games where we should come away with a point but things conspire against us and leave us with nothing. Individual players come in for stick on a regular basis or when they're not flavour of the month but this is all becoming negative and is detrimental to the whole team. Keep the Faith - be f***ing positive for once and remember that being an Albion fan is for life and you have to get used to the ups and downs.
