Not the most fluent performance today but who cares its another 3 points. But i thought the back four were superb today. Butters won everything in the air and popped up with the winner. Reid made some excellent runs forward. Mcshane looked a bit of the pace in the first half but was back to his best in the second half and that clearence at the end was quality. El -Abd also won every header and look very composed at left back. Only problem playing el-abd there is he doesnt really get forward like reid does but defensively looks good.

You could see how much it meant to them as well at the end. I have not seen tank dance about so much since the play off final.
Did anyone see Charlie celebrate our goal. he was being stretchered past our goal and was punching the air in delight despite being in obvious pain from his broken ankle.:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

I thought we looked fairly solid until about the 70th minute. I wouldn't say it was one of McShane best performances in the air. Not many of his headers found much distance.

You can't complain though.

I would like to see Reid possibly moved into midfield now El Abd looks comfortable at left back.

Reid certainly is capable of paying the killer ball which I think we lacked at times today.

Easily Butters' best game of the season, even without the goal.

El Abd had a superb game as well, and McShane recovered after a slightly rusty start to win some crucial challenges.

Reid might well have to go in there at some stage over the next 3 games. carpenter and hammond are the only 2 fit central midfielders left and asking chippy to play 4 games in 8 days after a long injury may be asking a lot.

Very good performance from the back four, Kuipers gave the defence alot of confidence, bring on Luton.
Confidence? He was issuing INSTRUCTIONS.

I don't think there can be another keeper in the league who shouts "AWAY!" when the ball is still in the opposite half of the pitch.

It is true but everyone knows Charlie bleeds Blue and White stripes. He may not be the best player in the world but no one can say he is not dedicated to the cause:bowdown:

get better soon Charlie.

not suprised, they offered virtually nothing on the floor coming forward, and he was just colosus in the air
