Nothing much happening thus far so we've been told to go for a wander.

So here I am in the Apple Store in central Bristol.

Seen a lovely Crumpler bean bag in the Crumpler store too - would buy it but concerned it would be used as a birthing ball and get messed up.

Any bannings yet?

What a night!

After a very relaxing day in the sunshine in Bristol the evening wasn't the most successful initially and there was concern for the welfare of the baby.

Around 2am that suddenly reached a point where it was deemed it was time for a 'sun-roof' delivery and sharpish. We didn't realise quite how quickly they wanted to get the baby out until the anaesthetist came sprinting into the operating theatre with sweat dripping down his forehead. It was all very quick from there and very shortly after we met Ben Harry Alexander (we think - we were really struggling with boys' names) for the first time. He weighed in at 7lb 9oz.

Both mother and baby are doing very, very well indeed.

I've been kicked out of the hospital but can be back there at 9am.

Amazing, amazing stuff.
