As a recent mover to the town I think its a good thing that poundland has come. In this economic climate I was amazed that anyone would take over a site that huge. Also, I've been quite impressed how few empty shops there are in the town centre. Can't think of many/any? Certainly far fewer than in Brighton

The site where Halfords is an empty unit now., apart from that agreed it is generally not boarded up.

I would have, but the chains I bought from Poundland broke before I could use them
