Are 1901 club members going to get a priority to away games? Please note there is a point to this question.

If we possibly add to our regular away attendances there may be a real binfest for games like Palace and West Ham. My worry is that people will try and tap up mates who are 1901 members who don't travel away to get those prized tickets.

I thought that would be the case. I guess the club is going to have to come up with a really robust and fair points system for away games. Previously priority was correctly given to season ticket holders but now that number has increased greatly and you have 1901 members ahead of them.

I posted about this last night on a different thread , if 1901ers get first priority the assumption was not all of them go to away games but the now growing likelihood is they will still get tickets for their mates.

A lot of these 1901 tickets are actually owned by companies so unlikely in my view.

Bar the obvious two games - West Ham and Palace I suspect most people will be OK providing they go to a few away games.

Portsmouth and Peterborough are another 2 which people will struggle to get a ticket for IMO.

Obvious 2? Think at least four aways will prove very difficult in purchasing tickets. Those being Pompey and Millwall in addition to the two you mentioned.

I wonder if SCC will make it 5 'obvious' sell-outs?

I'm a regular away attendee and would love to go to Fratton Park but know there's absolutely no chance.

Oh, is it? Still, when we last played Palace on that fine Tuesday night at Selhurst did we sell-out? I reckon 'Wall will be a sell-out.

I am not sure we did sell out that night either, may have done as it was a smaller allocation than that dreadful day on the Saturday.

Absolutely no chance. We never take more than 1300 to Millwall. Of course if we are doing particularly well then it might get near to 1600, as easy as it is to get to it seems people are still too scared to go. Who remembers the Play-off game back in 91, we only took about 2000 to that - mind you they were particularly p*ssed off that night.

It won't.

we've covered this before I'm sure - but am I right in thinking only Liverpool and Leeds have ever sold old (and used the lower tier as well as the upper tier)

I don't think you can compare previous seasons to the new, impending one. Brighton are fashionable, managed by Mr Cool, and everyone wants to watch us. After Palace, Millwall is the nearest away game. It's certainly quicker and easier than getting to Portsmouth. Perhaps being a Tuesday night may affect the numbers, but predicting the trends of Brighton's away fan habits is difficult, for this season at least!

Barnsley 2,000 - 6,000
Burnley 2,100- 4,125
Bristol City 2,800
Cardiff 1,800
Coventry 3,000
Palace 2,000-3,000
Derby 3,100
Doncaster 3,344
Hull 4,000
Ipswich 1,900- 2,400
Leeds 1,800 - 5,000
Leicester 3,000
Middlesbrough 4,500
Millwall 4,000

Portsmouth 2,000
Reading 2,100 - 4,300
Watford 2,200

Birmingham = 3,000
Southampton = 3,200
Peterborough = not a scooby this year , I reckon about 3,300 but no actual idea - no terraces :(
