Avetar advice (again)

When it comes to computers i am an absolute duffer, and i am hugely sorry to say this because it has been explained many times in the past, but......
HOW DO GET YOUR AVETAR ON HERE.
I have gone to different websites and right clicked on pictures of my user name, jotted them down and entered them in the avetar section in profile edit , but it allways comes up unrecognized. Do i actually have to have to copy the image to one of my folders.

right find the pic you want, right click on it , go to propertie , take down the webpage part of it and copy and paste that part in the space provided!
