Certainly beats setting the alarm for 4am like I had to do for a Pies game t'other week

There's a (masochistic) part of me that quite likes the 4am alarm call for a footy game - but really only if i've got nothing on the rest of the day and can have a good solid nap or two. Its vaguely ridiculous getting up at 4am for a televised sporting event but thousands of people do it for the Premier League, i like the solidarity of doing it for the AFL as well!

Great win for the Blues today over a tough Essendon team. Didn't expect a win, but really pleased with that one.

In other AFL news, Sussex Swans took a dominating win over Reading Kangaroos yesterday, 83-2...!

Only saw the second half, but seeing Carlton be so comfortable, and then shit the bed for a bit, then steel themselves and pull away again, only to again threaten to knacker it up - honestly, it’s like watching Tottenham! It’s all in the mind with them, they have the players but they just don’t believe they’re good - they’re scarred by previous knackerings-up it seems. Essendon, if they were even vaguely competent, would’ve run over the top of em - but thankfully they’re shite as well.

Also very much enjoyed the end of the kangas vs west coast - an absolute crapshoot but good old North pulled out a last quarter comeback and west coast are just absolutely shit long way it be that way!

I was in Melbourne last night and shared a lift in the car park with some Carlton fans on their way back from the game. I was going to ask them who won but then they looked so pissed off I decided they must have lost and decided against it

I guess it was just the natural misery of being a Carton fan come through.
