Not a great start for us northern hemispherans anyways, even before the cyclone news! i'm at work for the first two and the next two are at dickhead oclock! at least the clocks change soon, and it all gets shifted much more nicely for us lot up here.

I'll be up at 2am for the Geelong v Freo game next saturday though, cant wait! i even got Fremantle membership this year, and have a replica shirt i can sit on the sofa in

Just watched the highlights of todays Swans v Hawks. What a game...and wasn't expecting that result at all.

Maybe the swannies are just tipping over the edge a bit, and this is the end of their good period - they've been astonishingly consistent over the last twenty odd years, only missing finals 2-3 times. They need a bit of time in the doldrums, the rest of us have had to!

15 behinds, and just 2 goals in the entire 2nd half for the Blues, after 7 early goals. Very disappointing performance.
After Richmond made some adjustments in the 2nd term, Carlton just had no answers. Wow.

Bad kicking is bad footy. If you dont kick straight, you'll get punished. Fair play to the Tiges though, everyone has them down for a very long hard season, maybe 2 or 3 wins if they're lucky - theyve got one of em already in the bag! Dont know if its the Tiges being better than expected, or the Blues being dreadful - maybe a little of both

Fremantle got absolutely marmalised, which i didnt really see coming - i thought we'd lose, away at Geelong and with a few injuries, but bloody hell 78 points is a spanking of epic proportions. Personally speaking i got up at 2am for that shite, and at 5am when it finished i went out for a ten mile hike followed by a fryup and disappearing back to bed for a couple of hours - which is a delightful way to manage a sporting humiliation recommended!

I was at the Collingwood v Port Adelaide game..... my first Aussie Footy match. Really enjoyed it .... perhaps a tighter game would have held more peril in the second half, but it was a great experience. Im a Collingwood fan - Go Pies!
