Thinking about it Sully was a winger when he fist came to us from Man U I think. So maybe he should be ruled out. Couldn`t break through at United because they had a half decent Irish kid who played in his position at that time.

How many of those were penalties? Horton was a regular penalty taker as was Wilson. Don't remember Bob the Cod taking too many pens though.

Nobby Lawton. Very good player but only scored 12 for us. Played in the 64 cup final for PNE I think against WHU.

Wilson is probably the best midfielder I have seen play for the Albion, which I started doing in 1985. He was the sort of player who totally bossed midfield, receiving the ball and starting off most attacks, but sitting deep if necessary. He and Case together must have been a formidable partnership, not one I had the privilege to see, unfortunately. Out of interest, does anyone know how many times they played together? My Albion history pre-1985 is a bit rusty.
