I thought that the reserves and youth team games will be at Withdean once we go to the Amex, so we won't be leaving it completely.

I've not been that much and only got my half season ticket this year the glory hunter that I am, but it didn't ask to be a football stadium? Its got a bit of quirk in it tho, shit but a home ground in sussex

What will u do if you go to the game?

Obviously there will be a big pitch invasion but i wonder what other 'last game in current ground' antics??

Ripping up the odd temporary shitty chair, and tuft of the withdean pitch, the clock, toilet seat etc.

....or maybe a quick middle finger salute as we walk away from this shitty hell-hole for ever onto our glorious new pad :)

err you might like to a bit more respectful.

had we not had Withdean to comne back to, then the club could barely have existed, let alone enjoy one of the most rollercoater periods of our histroy.

There would have been NO back to back championships, NO play offs wins against Swindon, NO sign of Zamora, Cullip, Carpenter, Kuipers etc etc etc

That match will be hugely over subscribed. I wonder if they are tempted to prioritise.

What happened after the final game at the Priestfield? I was in the middle of nowhere in South America and don't recall reading anything about it.

My recollection is that we just walked out for the last time, with a HIGE GRIN on our faces as we SAVOURED the prospect of actually returning to Sussex and watching a home game at home.

Why on earth would anybody want to smash up Withdean? As you say we're moving to our 'new pad'; as a rule when you move house you don't smash up the one you're leaving, well, not unless you're a particularly anti-social type of crusty squatter.

Even if Withdean is just a grotty rented place it's been our home for over ten years and, unlike the Goldstone, it will still be a sports ground after we've left. Anybody even thinking of damaging it is a **** of the highest order.

Yes and Whitehawk with all their Albion connections will be taking it over next season.

Nothing to do with lack of respect bud ... the place IS a shit hole - its a fact :)

Im very grateful the club managed to negotiate somewhere local for us to play, extremely! Doesnt alter the fact it has stopped me going to home games for a decade after all the fun of "moshing" in the old north stand at Goldstone. :(

Granted we've had some very good times there, but im afraid it doesnt change my views on the place.

Only games I got to see at the Goldstone was when I was 4. Surprisingly I don't remember those very well.. I've grown up with my team playing at Withdean, and I for one will have some fond memories of the place, and won't degrade it!

I'll just walk out and that will be that.

It's been my teams home and has had its ups and downs.

It's not as bad as some say but of course I'm happy its over.

All i hope is that no damage is done to Withdean. Other people will be benefiting from it, and i would hate to see us leave on a bad note. Yes it was not ideal, but it saved us. we should respect the facilities
