The problem we've got is that we CARE, the likes of the players (except two Kerry Mayo's and one or two others) and the managers is that they're just doing a job. They don't CARE about The Albion. Luckily for us, OUR club ISN'T run by a businessman who doesn't give a stuff, BUT players and managers come and go (all too often lately) WE have to get used to it, until we have a REAL ground attracting REAL crowds (in at least Div1) we're gonna keep suffering the current pain. We're just a stepping stone for ambitious and semi-ambitious players and managers...get used to it......cos THAT'S how it is.....

Up The Albion!

The ONE bit of good news is this, we've had it all before and WE ALWAYS BOUNCE BACK, come on you Stripes!

All this adulation for Guy Butters is fine but I would love to steer my thread back to it's intended direction......and that is, that they're all in it for what they can get and the only people that count are the supporters. The supporters MAKE the club, the rest are just passing through.

Absolutely right!

Even a rich chairman is a temporary chairman.

Not that we've got one. All the Albion can manage is a bloody fan!

After reading that Mr Bracknell I feel like comitting suicide :(

Pass the rope............

I still don't want a rich chairman. Any success would seem a bit hollow and we would just be the plaything of some rich guy wanting to show off. Players brought in on big wages would just be mercenaries.

I'd rather get Falmer, build a successful team using some local players and become a top Div 1 team which is where we belong. Brief flirtations with the Premiership without bankrupting the club should we go down. I know I'm probably in the minority but I'd rather this than be a Fulham, a couple of seasons of bought success followed by uncertainty when the chairman gets bored.

Spot on. See my loyalty thread!
