what is the reason for such a young squad, is it that there is no investment? did they have to sell all their top players? or is this Lambert's idea to go with the youth? I genuinely have not been following Villa so have no clue!
We did have some investment in the summer but it was not a large amount given the situation we were/are in. It was rumoured that Lerner told Lambert to keep wages/transfer down and go with youth....which he has done but now we find ourselves in our current predicament. Recently the club was one of 3 that turned down having financial regulations with what clubs can invest....might be implying we will see some more spending.

I think it's Martin O'Neal doing a Redknapp.

Running up the bills, with minimal return to the point of frustration/desperation from Learner, who refused to back Mo'N with Champs League type money.
Thereby leaving Villa with an ageing but incredibly expensive squad.

That sums up the issues at the club when MON walked out. At our peak our wage bill was 87% of our turn over.....and that was with an ageing squad. Once MON left we had players left behind on 40,50,60 even 70k doing nothing! Warnock spent the season with Houllier in charge in the reserves....on something like 65k a week..... LAst season and this season have been about getting the finances in order which has also had us selling off our top talent.

I bet most Villa fans wished he had never left Norwich

You would be surprised there. 5-0 away at Man City...supporters singing Paul Lamberts Claret Blue Army...... 4-0 down today same thing. He has the backing of most the supporters....at least those that understand the entire situation we are in

Today was a 50% improvement on the Chelsea game result. Onwards and upwards.

Premiership games shouldn't be that easy, 5 minutes aside we never looked in danger

Saying that Villa's injury list is horrendous
