I have the benefit of living in the Midlands region of the Beeb and thus saw an interview with Martin O'Neill, he pretty much said that he was sending the reserve team to Hamburg and wasn't at all worried about the result, it was more about letting fringe/reserve/young players have a chance to show their worth against fairly decent opposition...as for bursting their bubble, knocking the train off the rails, or however you want to describe it...don't believe it for a second, Villa are ticking along nicely and most definitely on the up!
