No intensity or wanting to make things happen when we had the ball, just happy to sit and play it about with not even looking for an end product.

We had the rub of the green early part of the season and massively overachieved.
The wheels could come off now though.
We just haven't got enough going forward.

It's the same as last year, but we didn't get the rub of the green then.

We can't raise our expectations until we do get that goal man.

The wheels won't come off IMO unless you call finishing in 17th or below.

Its the whole ethos that is wrong - yes build from the back but get the ball forward quickly , we could have the worlds best striker but he will never see the ball.

At the game, Villa not even it till they scored but we never looked like scoring! Potterball well and truely off the rails, no win in 7! Dull boring football!

From watching most of the first half, then listening to the rest, it did seem to have 0-0 written all over it.

Disappointing to come away with nothing.

We are so so frustrating.

What an utterly pointless(literal and metaphorical) waste of time that game was. We spent 85 minutes doing our level best to not create a single chance. Just keep the ball. Then get done on the counter and fall apart.

Also, I ****ing hate villa. Annoying twats.

Honestly can't understand Potter's tactics whatsoever in these past two games. Our lack of attacking threat in the final third means these bang average sides become more and more willing to chuck players forward as they realise no threat is coming the other way. Villa were there for the taking today - and Potter takes off two of our best attacking players (Cucu and Lamptey) and only has us playing with a recognised striker in the last 15 mins, when the players who were getting crosses in are off the pitch. Then when Villa score it's far, far to late to do anything.

He seriously needs to work out some tactics to break teams down who sit in a solid defensive shape out of possession, as yet again we've been done & hardly laid a glove on them - don't worry we'll win the possession prize though.

its like there's a nuclear bomb in the net and if we score the ground's gonna do up in a massive mushroom of goalless shit.

we could be 3 0 down now and we could have been out of sight by now if we just had a go at goal ffs..

Useless, overpaid wankers. So pedestrian in that second half, we absolutely gifted them that. No excuses at all, all that possession and walk away with nothing. Something has to change.

5 seasons in, we’re a funny old EPL club ….. finding every conceivable way to go on long winless runs.

Whether it be CH’s 9-0-1 formation, to the initial GP attack-attack-attack football being mugged on the counter, to the current very poor man’s Guardiola. Tika-Taka without a cutting edge.

So easy to set up against us. Simply defend, you know your chance will come.

Basement clubs Norwich and Newcastle should’ve tucked away winners against us FFS.

We’re not all that.

Top ten is a pipe dream this season. Rapidly returning to the same old theme of last season. F all up front, take forever to build attacks, conceding sloppy goals. Nothing is going to change until the club finally sort out the obvious area of uninvestment.
