Hi Insider
I think "ask the club" is having problems. My email has had a bounce back. I am happy to resend but might be worth someone looking at the website as, just like the back four this season, its got "fatal errors" according to the bounceback message!
This was my question to them
Hi,
There is just a couple of months to go until the end of the season. I have in the past thought that is when the race to sell out the first game of the next season should begin.
As such, what plans will the club have to sell out the first game of next season? Children will be off school, but may I suggest :-
1. Use the summer to target the "grey pound" at social clubs, cricket clubs, bowls clubs and the like by introducing a "bring your grand children" scheme.ie one senior citizen and up to 3 kids for a special price. To launch the scheme, make it regional, and hire on a commission basis senior citizens with marketing experience.
(I suggest selling is undertaken by splitting the Sussex area up into sales zones, such as Cinque Port Towns. East Sussex, North / Mid Sussex, Brighton to Worthing, and West Sussex)
2. Create a formal link with Sussex CCC, both in membership and also Gullys Girls at the Sussex 20/20 games.
3. Sell tickets for the first game of the season at soccer schools and also the play scheme clubs that are prevalent in the summer.
4. Raise the clubs profile on the beach and at the beach volleyball
5. The week before the first game, target the main commuter stations with promotional activity.
