There has been a massive misjudgement this end in letting Ashley go. Of course he is a limited player, but he does score and he does contribute. OK one can argue that he was out of contract at the end of the season and we were offered a decent fee BUT look where we have been recently and what a better result here and there would have achieved. Ashley would have helped us achieve this. I believe those with the power at the Club never actually expected us to be in or so near the top six at the end of the year and so looked to cash in. That is shown to have been a big mistake and I believe that to an extent Oscar has shown the suits what might have been achieved with a bit more financial support.
