Was fantastic tonight, you could see he was brimming with confidence. Far overshadowed Super Glenn. Excellent stuff Ash, keep it up.

We have a cracking pair of strikers :D

Actually we do .Ash is growing with each match and Glen has just been immense this season. Its not all about goals with him he does so much off the ball and he supports the whole 'defend as a team' ethos.

IF they keep on geting the service they deserve then we do not need another striker other than as backup ......

Yep, our strikers are both f***ing BRILLIANT.

And I can't help thinking Sandaza will be useful when fit, and Holroyd too if he returns with a bit of confidence.

Barnes is coming good it seems but Murray has been brilliant all season. He is winning everything in the air offensively and defensively. Playing very unselfishly pulling players out of position. Barnes owes him a lot.

Which is why, in his interview after the Posh game, Barnes said this "Muzz has been fantastic. I really can't thank him enough".

Its not about Murray v Barnes. Its about the pair.

Good on them both.

Very good team. Glenn is looking superb - great shame his shot on the turn went the wrong side of the post.

At one point Murray (with KLL) tackled right back in our own half - was brilliant to see the team playing this total football.

Long may it last.

Barnes seemed to have a bit of extra spark after he got flattened by the blond bloke.

That aside, he has been playing well most of the season - it's just he is often judged on his finishing alone, when there is far more to his game than that.

Barnes is one of those players who just seems to find the right places to be, his second goal demonstrated how he just has that knack of getting into a good goalscoring position.. he and Murray are developing into a good combination.

We've had a lot of games and he has made more appearances than Murray, though match time is pretty similar. Baz and Battipiedi still need some first team games to get fully up to speed with the game (they are doing well in the short bursts they're getting).

Saturday sees us playing Woking.

Do you drop Barnes since it's "only" Woking, and give Baz, and possibly Agdestein(?)/Sandazza (if he's fit) a run out, and risk interrupting Barnes's momentum, or do you keep start with Barnes, let him get a goal, bring him off after he scores to keep up his confidence, or even play him for the whole game?

I saw Murray run into the box, looked towards bennett uin the hope of seeing a perfect ball to murray and bennett kicked it and I thought "Damnit, you fool, you've played it behind him!" Then followed the ball and saw Barnes arrive and slot it in. I chuckled at myself for doubting Bennett.

Aye, he did good last night. He'll get better too, still very young.

Murray was a bit quieter then usual but it looked like the Excretia defenders had him pinpointed for some special treatment.

I think he had a slight injury from the Peterborough so was taking it easy. Will be good to give him a break on Saturday.

I don't understand why people say that Barnes started the season slowly, didn't he score in the first couple of games, and I would say that 7 in 15 is pretty consistant but there you go.

He already showed us what he could do last season and still some people doubted his ability to get goals just because he wasn't a name or a big money signing.

Murray and Barnes are a great pairing.
