Another twenty minutes and play will be suspended until Tuesday, when the Manchester skies clear for another fifteen minutes of play.

agreed Lord B we need a quick score, get to 100 ASAP for no wickets (hopefully) and that should set us up to improve on a decent lead. But Warne will be LOVING the Jones overstep marks so he may come on early, which is always bad news!

I think Warne will bowl England out for 130 and then the Ozzies will be chasing about the same total as at Egbaston. It has to be said the weather is not looking great up here at present.

McGrath's opening spell must be due to end, should be looking to up the rate again and carve up a 400 lead the next 40 - 50 overs leaving 10 to 20 overs or so to get into them this evening.

declaration about 5 anyone?

I do think there should be a bit more swinging going on - if these two can add another 30 or so can we expect some uninhibited smashing from KP and Freddie

Struass brings up his 50 - that's all our batsman getting a decent knock under their belts so far

lovely

265 lead - let's crack on shall we

make that 269 lead
