As someone who has a passing interest in cricket, could someone explain to me the thinking behind Welsh players representing England. Does this eligibility come from the fact that Glamorgan compete in the County Championship? Could N.Irish or Scots represent England? - I thought Wales and Scotland (and N.Ireland?) had their own national teams, albeit ones that weren't of a standard to play Test cricket.

I wouldn't have thought many replica England tops get sold in the Principality!

Bacause the English cricket team is a national cricket team representing England and Wales, although Wales is almost never mentioned in the team's name. It is administered by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
