Based on a very quick look at his fifa stats (yes I know) he's quicker than our other CBs but his passing seems to be a weakness in his game.

He must have had one hell of a season with Trabzonspor, who didn't have a great season themselves, to go from the €2m player bought a year ago to a €20m valuation today.

That's twice what we've paid for an Italian international.

Lazio Knocks on Trabzonspor's Door! Surprise Offer of 10 Million Euros

Italy's giant club Lazio has made an official offer for Trabzonspor's young star Arseniy Batagov. The Claret-Blues are demanding at least 20 million Euros and a share of the subsequent sale.

Trabzonspor, which has received offers for many of its players even in the lost season, has received another surprise letter of interest from the club. It is stated that the giant Italian club Lazio made a transfer offer of around 10 million euros for Trabzonspor's star young defender Arseniy Batagov. Batagov, who did not have a chance to play at the beginning of the league, did not give the jersey to anyone after the Adana Demirspor match in which he first played.

Batagov displayed a high level of performance in every match, and although he was sometimes injured and out of action, his superiority over Victor Osimhen, especially in the Galatasaray matches, was greatly appreciated. Batagov, who is also the captain of the Ukrainian U-2019 National Team, did not escape the attention of the Italians who stand out with their defensive football. It is stated that among the well-established clubs in Italy, Lazio is knocking on Trabzonspor's door for Batagov.

The initial offer for Batagov was around 10 million euros. Trabzonspor is not keen on selling the player after not receiving a share of the upcoming sale and at least 20 million euros for Batagov. The Claret-Blues are considering selling the player for a better price if Savic stays on the team and Batagov performs better next season and does not suffer injuries.

In that case, you revert to the Brian Clough strategy.

Love his name, and he looks like he has just climbed out of the trenches and is running towards the enemy. It's a yes for me.
